Board of Directors
The Board of Directors bears legal and financial responsibility for the school. The board cooperates with and includes members of the faculty and administrative staff. Meetings are held monthly at the school. Board meetings are open to all persons interested in attending. The board reserves the right to discuss personnel matters in closed executive sessions. Copies of the minutes from these meetings are available in the office. Parents interested in serving on the board are encouraged to contact one of the members of the Board.
The Council of Teachers and Administrators
The Council is comprised of the lead teachers and the administrative chair. It is responsible for coordinating the administrative work of the faculty as well as setting the agenda for faculty meetings. The Council is also responsible for curriculum development, after school programs, festivals and celebrations, Schoolhouse Store, and decisions that are related to the academic vision of the school. Any committee or individual who wishes to speak with the Council or would like to add an item on the faculty agenda must set an appointment with the Administrative Chair.
Administrative Chair
The Administrative Chair is responsible for coordinating the work of the governing bodies in fulfilling the mission of the school. It oversees the different functions and positions within the Administrative Staff. Any issues regarding policy or procedures of the school should be directed to the Administrative Chair. Questions concerning administration, community events, and public relations issues also should be directed to this person as well as recommendations from the Parent Association. The Administrative Chair coordinates the flow of work and communication between and among the various bodies of the school.
